With time, our commitment to excellence and our growing reputation for quality attracted new clients and talented artisans. In 2008, we officially registered as The Magical Stone Lab (Pvt) Ltd, marking a new chapter in our journey. Today, with over 25 years of experience, we proudly stand as one of Sri Lanka’s respected names in gem cutting and polishing.

With over 40 years of experience in business and long-standing relationships with Japanese partners, he continues to lead with vision, integrity, and craftsmanship.

Mrs. Nalini Kariyawasam has been the steadfast support behind The Magical Stone Lab (Pvt) Ltd since its very beginning. Standing beside her husband through every challenge, she played a vital role in building the business from the ground up. Known for her kindness and the warm way she treats every member of the staff, she has helped create a strong sense of family within the company. Her dedication, compassion, and ability to balance both business and family — raising five children while supporting the company’s growth — have been truly inspirational. |
Dilika M Kariyawasam
Director/COO
Mr. Dilika Kariyawasam joined The Magical Stone Lab (Pvt) Ltd in 2011 as a Quality and Export Supervising Executive. In 2012, he completed a Foundation in Gemology with the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and went on to earn his degree in International Management and Business in 2017. Over the years, he has taken an active leadership role in overseeing operations and guiding a dedicated team toward shared goals. In 2020, he was appointed as a Director alongside his parents, continuing the family’s legacy of excellence. With a focus on quality, efficiency, and strategic growth, he remains committed to driving the company’s vision forward through innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement. |
